Improved technical parameters are ideal for use in high-voltage safety applications
Standex Electronics, a manufacturer of precise, reliable and long-lasting miniature reed switches, sensors, relays and magnetic components, announces a new optocoupler series 530, which provides high isolation voltage in a compact housing ideal for high-voltage applications.
The improved characteristics of the new 530 series are the longer creepage and clearance distance, better resistance to mechanical shocks and humidity, as well as the stable position of the pins. These features, and the high isolation voltage in a compact housing, make the 530 series one of the most preferred optocouplers when customers are looking for a long-life and reliable product for use in high-safety environments such as medical applications.
530 series optocouplers for the galvanic separation of intrinsic safety circuits have an isolation voltage from 10kVDC up to 22kVDC, Current Transfer Ratio min. 80%, cut-off 50kHz, an insulation resistance input/output up to 10^12 Ω, and the creepage distance between input and output for the highest safety requirements is up to 34mm. The operating temperature is -40°C up to 100°C. Like all Standex Electronics products, they can be customised using the company’s product design, engineering, machine shop, manufacturing, environmental testing and laboratory capabilities.
